Cement and Concrete Technical Center
Established in Kanda Plant in 2003, our Cement and Concrete Technical Center serves as a platform for solid technical support for our customers, exploring technical solutions for building materials: cement, ready-mix concrete and precast.
Our cement is typically used to produce ready-mix concrete, precast concrete and soil improvement at customers’ sites after being shipped from the plants. Aso Cement’s Cement and Concrete Center consists of a concrete testing laboratory dedicated to concrete products and a soil testing laboratory for soil improvement products, enabling our expert staff in each area to offer professional support and provide optimal solutions for our customers.
Concrete Testing Laboratory
About 90% of cement is used to produce ready-mix concrete and precast, creating a wide variety of needs. “High-strength cement” for high-rise condominiums, “low-heat cement” for mass concrete such as dams and “high chemical resistance concrete” for particular types of soil such as sulfate soil: there are many challenges in the area of concrete technology. Our Concrete Testing Laboratory works closely with our Technical Support Team to provide the best solutions not only for standard concrete products but also evaluation of special type concrete and technical issues. Equipped with testing machines for fresh concrete, hardened concrete and durability evaluation, our Concrete Testing Laboratory is well resourced to offer solid support for our customers.
Our Concrete Testing Laboratory also has testing machines for materials such as cement and aggregates which composite concrete. Please contact our Technical Support Team for consultation and support in this area.
Soil Testing Laboratory
In the Soil Testing Laboratory, technical staff run trial-mixing and basic tests for soil cement, mainly for customers in the Kyushu area, who use our soil cement products. The Technical Support Team is also available for technical consultation for our soil cement products.
